Talking about Trailblazers in another post made me realize how many names the Trailblazer was sold under.

Kinja'd!!!

Trailblazer family:

-Chevrolet Trailblazer

-GMC Envoy

-Oldsmobile Bravada (2002 only)

-Buick Ranier

-Isuzu Ascender

-Saab 9-7x

That's six different brand names for the same car. How many worse offenders can we name?

Badge engineering isn't so much bad based on how many brands a platform is spread across but rather how little is done to differentiate them. I don't know about that Bravada but the early one was so different I couldn't really pull parts from Blazers or Jimmys and the Bravada had AWD where those had 4WD.

Didn't the philandering Trailblazer also gave birth to the Humvee H3?

You can't beat BMC / British Leyland for badge engineering. Their ADO16 design was sold under the Austin, Innocenti, MG, Morris, Riley, Vanden Plas, and Wolseley marques. What's more, almost all of those brands sold it as different model names based on the trim level, and (aside from Innocenti, which was BMC's Italian subsidiary), you could buy all of them in Britain, at the same time.

I know, its ridiculous, at one Pontiac/Buick/GMC/Asuna dealer you could get 3 different versions of the same exact car, just different badges
